ICA Indonesia and Amerta Pijar Indonesia to Hold Workshop on Sustainability and Communication.
The Indonesia Chapter of the International Communication Association (ICA) in collaboration with Amerta Pijar Indonesia is set to hold a workshop titled “Sustainable Issues, Measurement, and Communication” on Thursday, 20 February 2025. The event will be conducted in a hybrid format, with an on-site session at Yustinus 14, Universitas Katolik Atma Jaya, and an online session via Zoom.

The ICA Indonesia Chapter contributed to the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) organized by the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communications Management and hosted by the Indonesia Public Relations Professional Association (PERHUMAS). WPRF brings together practitioners, academics, and industry leaders worldwide. The 2024 World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) theme was ‘Purposeful Influence for the Common Good.’

ICA Indonesia Chapter collaborated with the Indonesia Public Relations Association (PERHUMAS) for the road to the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) to be held in November 19-22, 2024. The WPRF event was for the Global Communication Knowledge Conference on Strategic Communication held September 26, 2024, with speakers representing ICA, Prof. Timothy Coombs of Texas A&M U and Prof. Noshir Contractor of Northwestern U, alongside ICA Indonesia Chapter Chair Prof. Dorien Kartikawangi.
The ICA Indonesia Chapter, in collaboration with 360info, held a landmark webinar addressing the urgent challenges facing the media industry and the role of academic institutions in combating misinformation. This timely event, led by Andrew Jaspan, 360info’s Founder, and Editor-in-Chief, highlighted the need for innovative, research-driven approaches in an era where shrinking newsrooms and disinformation are pervasive threats.
